That option NEVER existed for MacBooks, only for MacBook Pros.

Agreed! Macbooks only had the option for glossy.

As for those people with Verizon iPhone:
I'm pretty sure Verizon got a copy of 4.3.1 and decided not to release it for their customers. It's usually up to the carrier to test and okay any OS on their network. Verizon has always been the slowest in doing so; it's probably a good thing because the OS on their phones are for the most part very solid.

Unlikely. (http://daringfireball.net/linked/2011/03/09/ios-43) Apple doesn't let the carriers have that kind of control.

Here are a couple of photos of my half of our home office... recently made some pretty significant changes (including switching to Apple).

    Top of Desk

Large Size (http://www.flickr.com/photos/fensterbme/5074895283/) Available on Flickr, with more specific information in what's in the photo.

Large Size (http://www.flickr.com/photos/fensterbme/5074208506/) Available on Flickr, with more specific information in what's in the photo.

The links to the images on Flickr contain a pretty detailed list of what's in each of the photos above.

It's not a bad space to sit, listen to music and edit photos...

Where can I find this desk that your using? I really need a new desk and that desk looks awesome! From what I can tell it has adjustable height right?

    Thanks

    Don't worry.

If the Chinese economy keeps growing at the same rate over the next decade they will be setting up manufacturing plants in the USA to take advantage of the cheap American labour. ;)

Doubt it, American labor unions will never allow that. haha. Plus, China won't have problems finding labor in the country.

Apple needs to do something fast, beause virtually forcing schools across America to take on Macs and whining that Microsoft are big bullies isn't going to help them.

Sorry, i'm being a bit extreme, but i wish Apple would hurry up and do something.

PCs are the competition and releasing an update of a product every six months, while the competition is constantly updating, isn't going to work for them for much longer.

I am shocked to hear you say that "Apples exists to compete with PCs and one of, if not THE major element of that is having the best/fastest hardware!" Apple exists to make money, and part of that means competing with pcs. But again, the motivation is the need to make money, not to compete with pcs for the sake of competing with pcs. Not all users want more power, ease of use is more important than some. I merely suggested that this is a complex problem that requires serious marketing, not simple, uni-variable analysis (eg. faster= more market share). WHere do you consider all the factors of buying a computer? This is why you can never say which computer is "best" At work my pc is tons better than a mac, because I can run ProEngineer (a solid modeling program). At home, my mac is best, because of imovie, itunes, the os, and .mac, etc

Why do you want apple to "hurry up and do something"? You can buy a pc if you want to.

Wonderful composition! I really like how you choose to freeze the water as opposed to showing it flow. The reflected light, the symmetry - all great stuff.

    Thanks!

Well the looks and the battery life just led me to put in my order for a 2GB silver model :)

I can't wait for this thing to arrive and meet it's substantially larger sibling, (powerbook).

My only worry is that it won't work well in my nike+ armband, does anyone know if it does?

Anyhows, here's to the waiting game...

    That is wonderfully quotable.

Interesting rumor, who knows if really true. 3D just isn't that widely accepted yet. I have enjoyed looking at some of the 3D TVs at Best Buy very much, but I wouldn't buy one!

I am very impressed with Apple on this one.

    Specs Bumped
    Price Dropped
    Gap closed

I think this put the nail in the coffin on the headless desktop between the iMac and the Mac Pro.

The only things that bugs me (probably because I bought a Mac Pro) is that the iMacs come standard with 1GB and a comparable card. Makes me wish they went at least 2GB and a 7600GT. But oh well.

Considering they added a 24" iMac, what are the chances that they will move the 23" ACD to 24"?

The Beatles: Four guys who needed each other, because individually they were musical infants.
Musical infants? Someone's not very knowledgeable:
McCartney is the most successful songwriter in the history of popular music, according to Guinness World Records. McCartney is listed in Guinness World Records as the "most successful musician and composer in popular music history", with 60 gold discs and sales of 100 million singles in the UK.
John Lennon, ... with Paul McCartney, formed one of the most successful songwriting partnerships of the 20th century. As of Lennon's solo album sales in the United States exceed 14 million units, and as writer, co-writer or performer, he is responsible for 27 number one singles on the US Hot 100 chart.
Rolling Stone ranked him the fifth greatest singer of all time.
Whether you like them or not, claiming that they're musical infants is a brilliant display of your ignorance.
sorry...but her stuff is light years ahead of that old outdated sound.
    Who???

The money they are talking about doesn't really go to the Beatles, since the Beatles were bad financial managers when they were together, they get very little of this money. They all made their fortunes after the brake up...;)

    Not true at all.

There are several sources of income:

    1. Writers royalties - goes to the original songwriter (50/50 between Macca and Yoko, or else Harrison or Starr)
    2. Publishing royalties - goes to Sony and Michael Jackson (owners of the Northern Songs catalog)
    3. Likeness royalties (e.g. The Beatles logo and images of the band) - goes to Apple Corps (owned 25% each by Macca/Yoko/Olivia Harrison/Ringo)

There also might be money going to EMI, who own the original recordings.

The Beatles stand to make HUGE money from this.

... I think it's safe to assume the 'Mac Pro' is not getting a case redesign. It says 64 bit on the poster -- that is new, so we can assume everything else on the poster is up to date.

yes I do ... and I am 100% in support ... I would be more than willing to pay more taxes if Canada increased our spending to bring us more on par with the US.

I wonder what % of Canadians share your feelings? My guess is not that many.

Correct , that building is run entirely on batteries, but you can only work in it for a maximum of 10 hours:-)

It's right across from the Droid building where they only work 3 hours. That's why that group has a hard time catching up in OS development.

    Ouch.

I get 36 hours on my Droid X without any issues...
