Folks I sent email to this address as stated "uscis-complaint@dhs.gov", got bounced back saying it as a wrong email. Does nay one know the correct email to send USCIS complaints to?

Hi,
My wife is on H4 and she has her H4 extension approval. But the local DMV says that they need to see a visa stamp in her passport to issue a DL. Its actually exchanging her out of state DL! Can anyone from NC (Raleigh, Cary, RTP, Durham etc) share their experiences please.
This was introduced very recently and unfortunately they are asking for a VISA Stamp in Passport. Earlier they were not issuing the DL without an ITIN if you do not have SSN; my wife had to wait for almost a year as you cannot apply for ITIN unless you send the W7 with your tax returns due to new regulations. Now they are NOT concerned on ITIN, but are looking for VISA stamp. Only thing that can be done online in NC with regards to DL is you can get a Duplicate DL online if lost or your address is changed. Try writing to Congressman David Price and see if you can get assist from him. I know this office has helped folks here on Visas before for other issues.

Its confusing whether EB measures will remain in Mr. Frist's bill or not, as following statement contradicts to that he will striped out only guest worker provision for illegal aliens:

Let's wait for the bill and hope EB proposals remained...
If majority leader Bill Frist bypass Judiciary committee and introduce enforcement alone bill, EB proposal will be there? It also reported that this bill have Senater Arnel Specter proposals and striped out guest worker provision for illegal aliens.
Does this means that Senater Arnel Specter's proposals on Employment base immigration remain in that bill?
If yes, We don't have to loose anything.

We have several bills that are being discussed to provide releif for all of us stuck in the Green Card process. We have very few dedicated volunteers working very hard and knocking the doors of representatives across the country seeking support for our bills. We need to lobby hard to get releif for all of us in this election year and lobbying is not cheap. We need dollars to keep up our lobbying efforts. We need help with raising dollars that are needed to keep working for our cause. We do not have Star Players and/or Star Athletes raising funds to support our cause. We need to do it ourselves. We all need to come together as a dedicated team with a mission to raise the targeted dollar amount. Can we do it?. Can we all step up and raise the dollars we need for our cause?.

I feel that initiator of this thread is not trying a coup d'�tat. He is merely pointing to the fact that every organization runs by elected officials. Having a life term president and core group is only heard in autocratic systems but not in a democratic one. What are we as an organization?
Why are we afraid of discussing new ideas? Why shouldn't we open up IV organization for elections? There is nothing wrong in declaring the rules and then playing by those rules.
So I completely support the guy who came up with this suggestion.

I think it is a good idea..Everyone should write to local Congressman/Women senator detailing the case and asking Why it is taking so much time to process the AOS.
They will come back with standard answer like country quota etc..BUT
This will create awareness among the lawmakers..
I would say we should start with local congressional office. Every case whether it is resolved or not should be taken to the attention of local congressional office.
If members volunteer to do this, we could distribute districts among ourselves and take care of each district's congressional office. In that way we could raise the awareness among the lawmakers. I do agree that not every office will be friendly to immigrants like my district's congressional office, but we have to try.

I think I have been very lucky so far. I don't think USCIS processes based on anything concrete, I think it's a little random. Or maybe I am just lucky.
I applied for PERM in Sep 2006 - EB3 - India.
I got approved for PERM in Mar 2007.
I applied for I-140 and I-485 concurrently in Jun 2007.
I-140 got approved July 20, 2007 and on July 23, 2007 I received all 4 receipts for I-140, I-485, EAD and AP. So my approval came before my receipt. I live in California so everything went to Nebraksa.
Lawyers emailed saying they also received the EAD card yesterday July 23, 2007.
Now I have to wait for only AP and Adjustment. And I still have 5 years left on my H1-B (2 years on this visa and then another extension).
So I say, anything is possible. I wake up every morning and pray to USCIS because they made my life better :) :) :)

If implemented, would this cause audits/additional reviews of already approved I-140s? My 140 was approved in January 2007 in EB2 - Exceptional Ability/Advanced Degree. Hope this does not cause any issues for people like me....

CIS and DOS officials are meeting every week after July 07 fiasco. They have a better handle on the visa number utilization than they ever had in the past years. As a result they have max utilization of visa numbers and don't be surprised if DOS decides to move EB2 India and China a month or two back. Neither India EB2 nor China EB2 is going to move past Oct 2004 before Oct 08 bulletin.

This call was strictly for state chapter members of all states. IV core has been meeting DOS and USCIS regularly to find solution to the problems our members have been facing.
Pls take part in the call campaign and contribute funds to be able to find relief.

I have just talked local Congresswoman's Office and I have talked to a staff member for 1 hour and she is helping me. She is going to call NSC and get to the root cause of this problem.
