My lawyer mailed my concurrent case (140/485/AP/EAD) on 03/23/07 thru DHL. I am in TX. I also included my Personal check of $1000 for 140 PP.
1) When should I hear something about my case from USCIS?
2) which service center will be processing my case?
3) Will I hear about something directly from USCIS or its only the lawyer who will me main contact?
Will appreciate your comments.

Hi all,
I currently working in California and planning to move to Texas. Our company does not have a office in Texas .. so I will be working from home for the same company.
My I-140 is approved and 485 is pending for more than 180 days.
while AC-21 allows for changing employers with a different geographical location, is it OK to work for the same employer who does not have an office in a different geographical location?
Also, can we do H1B extension in this case? Any idea what my employer should show in this case if I work from home.

Hello,
Assuming a 40 hr/week position, a person works 2080 hours per year. The Annual Salary for a $46/hr position is $95680/year.
Also, if you only have annual salary for the new position, you could convert to hourly by dividing by 2080.
But I wouldn't even worry about all this. Just send in the annual salary figure (just for your own satisfaction make sure it is more than $46 per hour) and USCIS will figure out the rest.

Actually if you factor in 10-12 holidays and about 20 VC days it will come to roughly 1824 hours a year or roughly 152hr/month avg.

This is just unofficial and don't ask my sources.
All i know is that as of yesterday there were only 18000 applications for Masters quota.
Why did not they get filled as fast as the Regular quota?
This is the reasoning my lawyer gave....
"Most of the applicants for Master's quota were in confusion after April 3 after reading several bulletins about 200,000 or so H1-B applications. And some people didn't even apply thinking that the USCIS may have received more than enough master's quota applications even though the bulletin said that they were accepting more applications for Master's quota."
I know of people who have submitted fresh H1-B applications under master's quota as late as April 7th.
So guys, wait for the official numbers. Don't believe me. But do compare when the official news is released.
I am surprised by the slow pace of Master's applications.
